How to Shift your Leadership with Language (Part 2)

Shift your language. Shift your leadership. Shift your life.

We do not experience people (ourselves included), places, and things the way that they are...we experience them the way we think about them.

The language of leadership is intentional and powerful. For the next several weeks we will look at specific words that we can incorporate into our language.

Want to > Need to

Even as I write this, I can recognize that my energy is lower than usual. I can see that over the last 24 hours I have allowed my thoughts and words to be around what I "need" to do and less about what I want. Acting and speaking from a place of "need to" produces feelings of pressure, overwhelm, despair, and scarcity. And that is okay. The beautiful thing is that I have the power to choose to shift my language to focus on what I want to be, do, and create.

The same principle applies in our interaction with other people. When we project on others from a place of "they need to" it does not create powerful commitment within them. It puts pressure on them. Talking about about what you want AND what they want shifts things powerfully where they are choosing.

I WANT you to win in life and leadership.

Today is the day.

You got this!
